Goals and Objectives
Bar Closing Times
In February 2025, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) brought a resolution to request the county close the bars earlier in Saratoga Springs. DPS, SSPD and the Saratoga County Sheriff are united and request that the bars be closed earlier in order to address public safety concerns. The resolution passed unanimously, and I am working with Saratoga Springs Supervisor Matt Veitch to accomplish this goal in the near future.

Traffic Safety Unit
In January 2025, we reinstated our Traffic Safety Unit which was terminated many years ago due to budget constraints. The Unit focuses on Commercial Truck Traffic, Speeding in School Zones, and Unlicensed Taxi Operators.

Belmont Festival
We will once again host the Belmont Festival and expect that the festival will attract tens of thousands of visitors to Saratoga Springs and create a public safety challenge. We are preparing for the event at this time to ensure the festival is safe for our residents and visitors.

New Crosswalks with Beacons
We will be installing new crosswalks, with beacons, near Waterfront Park and another crosswalk connecting the YMCA to Pitney Meadows Farm.
STR Registry and Enforcement
One the STR Registry is operational, we will initiate and inspect all STR units in the city to ensure they are adhering to our codes and are safe for all our residents and visitors.
