I am Tim’s cousin and a retired firefighter from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). My mother and Tim’s mother were sisters, who were both born in County Cork, Ireland. I have known Tim my entire life and both our families are comprised of public servants in either Law Enforcement or the Fire Department or work in Construction Unions.

Like many, the 911 attacks in New York City had a profound impact on myself and Tim and it is a day we will always remember. Many firefighters and law enforcement officials paid the ultimate price and were killed that day. Additionally, many first responders continue to suffer from various cancers related to the toxins from the attacks.

Tim led the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in Albany and he was responsible for preventing another terrorist attack in America. The JTTF is comprised of many law enforcement agencies in the Capital Region working together with the same mission and I know Tim did an excellent job unifying all those agencies to prevent another attack. Tim also deployed to Iraq in support of the JTTF mission.

Based on his leadership and experience, I believe Tim would be an excellent Public Safety Commissioner in Saratoga Springs to lead both the Fire and Police Departments.
